Return of the Mountains

It was with much delight that Mersey Harmony welcomed our fellow Barbershoppers from Mold: Mountain Harmony, as they joined us for rehearsal this week (3rd September). We also were happy to welcome some former members who came along for the evening.

Both MD’s, Luke Freeney and Nova Evans, directed their own chorus, and directed the two choruses when they sang together. Wow, what a sound. We even had the pleasure of another visiting MD, Ted Ward who directed the last number.

Throughout LLABS, there is some tagging going on and Mountain Harmony had tagged Mersey Harmony, so it seemed only right that we sang the tag, Million Stars, together, under the direction of Luke.

Mersey Harmony have now tagged Blackpool’s ‘Sound Waves’ & Wilmslow’s, ‘Cheshire A Cappella’. Can’t wait to hear what they do.

Mersey Harmony’s Liaison Officer, Sue Ward also came along, as did Mountain Harmony’s Liaison Officer, Teresa Phillips. Teresa had the added honour of presenting Susan Davies, of Mountain Harmony with her long service certificate of 25 years. Congratulations Susan.

We are all looking forward to meeting up again in Harrogate at this year’s LABBS convention in Harrogate. Thank you Mountain Harmony for adding such joy to our rehearsal night.
